Sam and Greg's is nestled on the North Side of the Courthouse Square in Huntsville, AL. Our building has been here since the early 1800's as part of Huntsville's original Courthouse square. It has been a general store, a ladies dress shop, a gallery, and finally a coffee shop.

Recently the Alabama Paranormal Association made a ghost search in the building and determined we are haunted. This is great news for us, as you don't have to pay a ghost, or feed it. So we have an extra "employee". The ghost doesn't do much, but I have heard there have been ghostly happenings around the shop since we were certified. Keep and eye out for him.

Both Samantha and Greg worked downtown for many years in the software business before deciding to open a restaurant. They were both dismayed at the demise of Gorin's downtown in the late 90's, and thought that the downtown could still use an ice cream shop. As the plans to open an eatery progressed, they decided that coffee would be a nice addition, and while they were at it, how about pizza, too?

The Huntsville Times had the following to say about their shop. "For whatever reason, Sam & Greg's feels like downtown Huntsville... It is the alternative to the loud restaurants and bars that dot the central city..." ( Mike Kaylor January 17, 2008, Huntsville Times) Add to the downtown quirky feel of Sam & Greg's our great staff of musicians, students and twenty-somethings, and you have a unique, fun environment. We love our staff, and hope you do, too!!

We have Face2Face improve every Tuesday Night in the loft, there are swing bands, acoustic guitar and singing occasionally, and every now and then we can convince some of our staff to do a set.
